C O N C U P I S C E N C E
Questioning stereotypes of sexuality by deconstructing the male into its signifiers of sensuality, sexuality & masculinity. Provoking a lust / disgust reaction in order to confront the viewer with their prejudices of the nude male form in this heightened age of sensitivity towards toxic masculinity and the Patriarch. With particular reference to historical and contemporary censorship of the naked male. I unite sensual and textural bodyscapes with quotes from my subjects which give a frank, graphic and poignant counterpoint to the intimacy of the photographs. Creating a confessional of their thoughts, feelings & experiences with an objectification of the bisexual male, while also touching on broader subjects like aging, trust, privacy and particularly censorship.
